Metis was the Titaness of good counsel, advice, planning, cunning, craftiness, and wisdom. She is the mother of Athena and first wife of Zeus. By the era of Greek philosophy in the 5th century BC, Metis had become the mother of wisdom and deep thought, but her name originally connoted "magical cunning". The Greek word metis meant a quality that combined wisdom and cunning. This quality was considered to be highly admirable in the Mycenean era, with the hero Odysseus being the embodiment of it. In the Classical era, it was regarded by Athenians as one of the notable characteristics of the Athenian character.
The Metis ring was conceived to be worn on the small finger or on the phalanx. It is discret, yet the thickness of the band brings light to your finger and the two diamonds set on both ends give to the ring a little sparkle and sophistication!
