Irini means "peace" in Greek.
A dove holding an olive branch on a hand was hand carved on the top part of the coin. The olive branch was found in Greek mythology and was one of the attributes of Greek goddess Irini. The legend says that Athena competed against Poseidon for possession of the city of Athens by planting the first olive tree. It symbolises peace and prosperity.
Sapphires were set on the top part of the coin to give it a little extra magic.
