The Aphrodite Rose Pearl Necklace
Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, loved the mortal youth Adonis above all others. When he was gored by a wild boar while hunting, Aphrodite heard his cries and ran to him, racing barefoot through a thicket of white rose bushes. The thorns tore at her feet, and where her immortal blood fell on the petals, the white roses turned red. She reached Adonis only to hold him as he died in her arms.
From that day, the rose carried both halves of the story within it: the original innocence of the white flower, and the depth of feeling that stained it red. The Greeks made it sacred to Aphrodite, and it has remained, across every culture since, the flower most closely tied to love itself, not as something easy, but as something that marks you.
This necklace is a tribute to that kind of love. Love is and will always be my inspiration.
Three sizes of perfectly round rose pearls, hand-knotted in an irregular, organic rhythm on a pink silk thread. Fastened with a delicate hook clasp, this necklace celebrates the beauty of tradition in a thoroughly handcrafted spirit.
