Thetis was one of the fifty Nereids and goddess of the sea in Greek mythology. She was the mother of the Greek hero Achilles. Thetis was described as fair-haired and silver footed and was known to be the most prominent of the Nereids alongside her sister Amphitrite. She had the power to transform into different forms and shapes.
