Eos means dawn in Greek. This was the name of the rosy-fingered Greek goddess of the dawn. The shape of the Eos earrings is inspired by the sun. Eos rose into the sky from Oceanus (the river or body of water thought by the ancient Greeks to surround the Earth) at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night. The dots used on these earrings were very common in ancient Greek jewellery.
These tiny earrings were specially made for the ladies that have small earlobes and struggle to find earrings that marry perfectly their earlobe (N.B. They won't fit on normal or larger earlobes!).
