Eos means dawn in Greek. This was the name of the rosy-fingered Greek goddess of the dawn. The shape of the Eos necklace is inspired by the sun. Eos rose into the sky from Oceanus (the river or body of water thought by the ancient Greeks to surround the Earth) at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night. The dots used on this necklace were used a lot in ancient Greek jewellery.
